Please read these Terms carefully before using explor.codes. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the explor.codes website, platform, API, and all related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by explor.codes ("we", "us", "our"). By registering an account or using the Service in any way, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
Each person may maintain only one free account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or abuse free-tier limits is prohibited.
You must notify us immediately at security@explor.codes if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised use of your account credentials.
You may use the Service to host, manage, and collaborate on software projects, subject to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must not use the Service to:
explor.codes scans all pushed content for secrets, exposed credentials, and known vulnerability patterns. Content that triggers a security block will be rejected at push time with an explanation. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
Do not commit secrets, API keys, passwords, or private certificates to any repository — public or private. You are solely responsible for any data you push to the Service.
You retain all intellectual property rights in the code and content you push to explor.codes. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of your content to us.
By uploading content to the Service, you grant explor.codes a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, and display that content solely as necessary to provide and operate the Service. We do not use your code to train machine learning models.
Content in public repositories is visible to all users and may be forked, cloned, and viewed by anyone. By making a repository public, you confirm you have the right to make that content publicly available.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload. We do not pre-screen content (except for automated security scans) and are not liable for any content posted by users.
The explor.codes name, logo, design, and all platform code (excluding user content) are the intellectual property of explor.codes. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without our written permission.
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may suspend or limit access for maintenance, security incidents, or violations of these Terms. We will provide reasonable notice of planned downtime where possible.
The Service may offer free and paid tiers. Features available on each tier will be described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to affected users. If you are on a paid plan, changes will not take effect until your next renewal period unless you downgrade voluntarily.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, subject to our retention obligations.
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. For less severe violations, we will attempt to contact you before taking action.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, explor.codes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless explor.codes and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated effective date and notify registered users by email for material changes. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
